I am Bill J Renfro, I am almost age 93, and after the passing of
my wife of 70 years, wrote 7 1/2 books about how we grew up
about 4 miles down a long dirt country road, and never really
ever knew each other until high school. We had our first date
when she was only 16 years old. We fell in love on our first
date, dated our junior and senior years of high school, were
married after graduation, lived and worked on a farm for the
first 5 years of our 70 year marriage, moved to Houston, Texas,
where we spent the most of our lives until our retirement after
working for 60 years. These books were written as history for
our future generations in an effort to keep the memory alive of
the love of my life. The books have been printed in paperback
and given to family and friends and to others who asked who
knew her and asked for a copy. Rather than let them sit on the
shelf with no one hearing the story I have decided to make
them available as an eBook.
These books tell the story of our beginning until the passing of
my dear wife in 2018. They tell of the good times and the bad
times, of the raising of our family and of the love that still
remains in my mind and heart. They are self-published, printed
by a local printer. I have given over 200 books away to all who
would like to have one. These are simple paperbacks which go
from 50 pages to 90 pages, are written in simple country
language by a simple country boy, but tell as best he could, of
loving, what a lifetime of loving the same woman that GOD
gave him was like. The books are filled with pictures of this
story, which began in 1930 and has lasted until today. It is filled
with self written poems and pages of things remembered and
are loaded with colorful flowers instead of page separators.
I hope that those of you who decide to get one or more of the
books, will be pleased and maybe a little encouraged by the
